Deadline Approaching Soon for Submitting Amateur Photographs

Lawrence County Tourist Promotion Agency is going to organize a contest of amateur photographs.

Enthusiastic people can join and participate to win the attractive prizes. The executive director of this company says that their organization is looking for some vivacious photographs that will deal with the themes of festivals, ceremonies, occasions, events and landscapes of Lawrence County so that they can rightly represent the place.

The chosen photographs from the contest will be displayed to promote the place amidst tourists from all over the country. So, the competition is in a way very encouraging and inspiring especially for people who have a knack for photography.

Not only this, the winning amount is also attractive as the winner will be getting $200, first runner-up will be receiving $100 and second runner-up will have $50. Eager participants need to submit their photographs and it will be evaluated by the members of the Lawrence County Tourist Promotion Agency on the basis of their appeal and relevance.

Travel photography blogger Trey Ratcliff to talk at TEDxQueenstown

Trey Ratcliff, the author of the No 1 travel photography blog named ‘Stuck in Customs’ is all set to speak at TEDxQueenstown event on 19th April, Sunday. Ratcliff is the newest to be declaring in a richness of speakers coming down upon Queenstown sometime later this month at the independently organized version of TED talks, another development to have taken the internet by force.

Speakers have near about 18 minutes to scream their audience – something that might prove tricky for the adventuresome photographer who has travelled places like Zurich and Antarctica and snapped most places in between.

Trent Yeo, the TEDxQueenstown organizer, told that he was ‘excited’ to declare Ratcliff as part of the line-up. He told that there is a huge range of performers and speakers at the event this year and Trey is a great addition. He added that Queenstown somehow attracts very influential and purposeful people so it was great they could invite a local to address what he shares to his global community, but in person. Stunning photographs showcased as Wildlife Photographer of the Year hits HMNS

The Houston Museum of Natural Sciences is all set to exhibit 50th Wildlife Photographer of the Year honor, 30th January, featuring hundred awe-inspiring snaps, exhibiting lovely animal behavior, majestic wild landscapes as well as several other things.

In a statement, The Houston Museum of Natural Sciences said: Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the most prestigious photography event of its kind, providing a global platform that showcases the natural worlds most astonishing and challenging sights for 50 years.

Launching in 1965 and attracting 361 entries, today the competition receives almost 42,000 entries from 96 countries highlighting its enduring appeal. This years 100 award-winning images will embark on an international tour that allows them to be seen by millions of people across six continents. Continue reading »
